4/22/2023 0 Comments Sonar mp3 encoder![]() ![]() Starting I think with version 5 of Sonar, we weren't required to use our CPA 9 CD to install the mp3 encoder, but reinstalling the CPA encoder doesn't solve this problem. Check out my earlier post about mp3's and you'll see what I mean. This is not the case in 6.0, it sounds and works fine. There's a bug in 7.0,which is causing the mp3 encoder to sound like crap unless you use 320 bit rate. ![]() Jose no, well I I have looked all over the place for them, and I can't find them except for the fraunhoofer, none of them shows up in add and remove programs, I've tried searching the registry and can't find them there either, so if you have any idea of what the dll's and/or exe's are called or where they are installed, then please let me know. Have you tried deleting both LAME and Fraunhofer mp3 encoders and re-installing the Fraunhofer one? I'm not sure how to help you since I don't own PA9, sorry. That's it!īy the way, for searching use this instead of the Forum's Search function: Now, whenever you export, choose the friendly name you gave it in step (3). That is where lame.exe and lame_enc.dll are (C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Shared Utilities\Lame Folder).Ħ- In the Command Line field write: " lame -b 192 -m j %I %O" or, for best quality, " lame -alt-preset insane %I %O" (without quotes). You can name it anything you want as long as you know what it is.ĥ- In the Path field write the path where the Lame encoder is located. Encoder Config.ģ- In the Friendly Name Field write: "Lame MP3 Encoder". Follow these steps:ġ- Copy the LAME encoder into Sonar's "Shared Utilities" folder (C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Shared Utilities\Lame Folder).Ģ- In Sonar go to Tools -> Cakewal Ext. You need to use Cakewalk's External Encoder under the "Tools" menu. ![]()
